When using anchor bolts (anchors), different specifications and types of anchor bolts should be selected according to the type of wall (such as concrete and solid brick walls, aerated blocks or hollow brick walls, steel structures, keels), the required length of anchors, the diameter of anchors and the type of drilling tools, and the effective depth requirements for anchoring into the base layer of the wall.
1) Base wall with anchor bolts
Class A: Ordinary base concrete wall;
Category B: solid masonry base wall, including sintered ordinary bricks, autoclaved lime sand bricks, autoclaved fly ash brick masonry and light aggregate concrete walls;
Class C: perforated brick masonry base wall, including sintered perforated brick, autoclaved lime sand porous brick masonry wall;
Category D: hollow block walls, including ordinary concrete small hollow blocks, light aggregate concrete small hollow block walls;
Category E: Autoclaved aerated concrete base walls.
2) Requirements for the selection of anchor bolts
(1) The anchor bolt that is carried by friction and mechanical locking should be selected for the class C base wall;
(2) The anchor bolt that is carried by friction and mechanical locking should be selected for the class D base wall;
(3) When used in the external thermal insulation system of rock wool external wall, it is advisable to choose a disc anchor with a disc diameter of 140mm.
